This is for those who want to know the Bible to learn the heart and purpose of God

Ten weeks of learning to read the Old Testament and see the story in a new way — a way that connects the Old and New Testaments with the story of how it revealed as a God with a plan of love, mercy, and justice. The study was put together by Rev. Dr. Don Vanzant, a retired pastor from Versailles. He has led hundreds of people through Bible 101 from different churches. His passion is to show how things fit together.

Bible 101 books are provided free (see some samples of lessons here). People have finished the ten-week course who have never read the Bible and those who have read it since youth. You will need to spend about three hours of ready/study a week, but if you can’t get a week done you still try to attend because much is covered in class with a few short videos and class discussion, Oh, no one is put on the spot to find a passage or tell what the lesson taught. We are a community and we get along. I don’t embarrass anyone.
